A New Evolutionary Intention Begins

We are experiencing a transit that has never happened before in human history, and it will not happen again in your lifetime.

This is the Saturn–Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries.

Aspects always need to be looked at in context. No transit happens in isolation. And this one comes just after a Solar Eclipse, amplifying its significance.

We are at a New Phase.

The New Phase correlates to a brand-new evolutionary intention. It reflects the Soul’s desire to initiate a new way of being. This phase is instinctual and yang (action-oriented). There is a need to initiate a diversity of experiences — to take action in order to begin the actualization of the new intention.

The actions taken lay the groundwork for knowledge of what this new evolutionary intention requires, but we must navigate them without knowing where we are going, which requires connection to our instincts, our attractions, and our repulsions--this is Aries territory. There is a desire to break free from the past cycle so the experiences necessary for awareness can occur.

The fear in this phase is the fear of being absorbed by the past — by the Balsamic phase that preceded it. We don't quite trust that a new beginning is indeed happening. We are still oriented to what was. That fear generates a desire for absolute freedom so that independent actualization of this new cycle can begin.

And at 0° Aries — the zero point of the zodiac — we are at the purest expression of that beginning.

The Conjunction: Instinctual Newness

Within the New Phase, there are four developmental stages. The first is the 0° Conjunction.

At the conjunction, the planets unite in function so a new evolutionary purpose can begin instinctually. It is spontaneous. There is no egocentric awareness yet. It is pure, unchecked expression. Random experiences are initiated in order to begin the process of self-discovery in this new evolutionary phase.

This is not polished. It is not strategic. It is raw emergence. It's pure Aries, spring, energy.

And this particular conjunction carries enormous weight.

The cycle between Saturn and Neptune is roughly 37 years. The last time they met was in 1989 at 10–11° Capricorn. That cycle shaped our structures, governments, economies, and collective agreements particularly of the old alliances falling. Think of the Berlin Wall falling. The "end" of the Cold War. Longterm divsions dissolved and needed to be reshaped.

Now they meet again — but at 0° Aries (infinite potential) while Pluto is in Aquarius (the future), orienting us to the birth of a brand new paradigm shift that is unlike anything this world has ever seen.

Saturn Builds. Neptune Dissolves.

Saturn is the builder. Time. Structure. Accountability. The architecture of lived reality.

Neptune dissolves what Saturn builds. It softens boundaries. Dissolves illusions. Moves us beyond form into formlessness. Beyond culture. Beyond conditioning.

Historically, we were taught that Saturn equals reality and Neptune equals illusion, but now, as we study consciousness, we are realizing the opposite: Neptune may be reality, and Saturn is the illusion. The material plane is the simulation of separateness that our timeless, unified selves inhabit temporarily to heal and grow our consciousness, our whole self, which is eternal. That eternal self may be what is actually real.

What is reality? What is consciousness? Is it singular or can it be shared?

These questions become unavoidable now. Saturn builds the container. Neptune reveals that the container was never the whole truth. There is more beyond our current field of perception that we will begin to sense. On February 20th, when they unite at 0° Aries, we are asked to reorient our lives — but with a different understanding of reality itself.

The study of consciousness will grow exponentially in the coming years. As Uranus moves into Gemini in just a few months, expect conversations and research around telepathy, non-local communication, bi-locality, and expanded awareness to become a norm over the coming decades while Pluto transits Aquarius and then Pisces. The ability to see the unseen will rise. More people will regain access to an expanded field of information/awareness, essentially "growing consciousness."

The Grief That Brought Us Here

The last three years have dissolved structures — personal and collective.

Identities cracked. Institutions destabilized. Relationships changed. The story you’ve lived since the mid-90s completed its full cycle. Grief surfaced. Fear of being absorbed by the past cycle surfaced. But the grief was not pointless. It connected you to innocence. To vulnerability. To what truly needs protection.

“You cannot have a grievance and a miracle at the same time.”
A Course in Miracles

The New phase asks you to release the grievances of your past so you can truly move forward. It asks you to initiate something different from a new center.

From Blame to Refinement

We come from a punitive model of accountability rooted in blame, but true healing requires something else.

“Self-compassion and self-responsibility must show up together to heal.”
— Katherine Woodward Thomas

Saturn requires responsibility.
Neptune requires compassion.

Together, they invite refinement.

Not shame.
Not defensiveness.
But growth-oriented development. Sculpting. Iteration.

To bring love where it has never been before requires listening to rage that has been repressed. Before you act, process, and meet it in your emotional body. Alchemize it into connection, love that releases the rage by hearing the information and taking it seriously. The voice of love then returns and moves you into action.

Rage is not the enemy. It is information. But it must be alchemized. This is the domain of transformation, standing for a new experience.

A Life of Your Own Choosing

This New phase asks:

  • Who have you become in the face of what has happened to you?
  • And more importantly: Who are you choosing to become now?

A life of your own choosing requires creating the conditions that remove the barriers you’ve built against love. Set clear intentions. Live in commitment to their realization.

Line up with the truth: I did overcome the past. I transmuted pain into wisdom.

Healing our relationship with ourselves shifts our relationships with others. Give yourself credit for all that you have journeyed and triumphed to get here. You did that. It's good, and it's bad; it happened. Accept that it really happened. Some things were out of your control. Other things were in it. That's the part you have the power to change on the next go around.

Saturn asks for integrity, not perfection. Radical accountability that's rooted in humble learning.
Neptune asks for transformation through grace.
Aries asks for authentic action that honors why you came into (human) being.

How do you need to relate differently in order to stand for that future? To yourself. To others. To your community. To injustice. To fragility. To the past. To that part of you that didn't know how to do better. How do you bring more compassion into the equation?

What Are We Here to Protect?

This conjunction follows a Solar Eclipse. It amplifies the reset.

There is instinctual movement now. A desire for freedom. A refusal to be absorbed by the old cycle. But freedom without structure burns out quickly. Structure without spirit becomes lifeless.

So the question becomes:

What are we stewarding?
What are we here to protect and cultivate?
What if being in your body — here — is the sacred act?

This is not about escaping reality. It is about redefining it. You are entering a new evolutionary cycle. You do not yet fully know what it requires, but you begin by acting. By initiating. By allowing spontaneous expression. By letting experience teach you what this new intention truly is. Trusting that the plan will cohere in time as you trust yourself to deeply listen and act upon what you hear.

You are not changing who you are. You are removing what blocked love from moving freely through you. And you are standing — instinctually, courageously — for a new experience for life on earth.
