How the Astrology of 2025 Changed Us | Liminality in the Year of Pisces
Dec 25, 2025
Using astrology to look backward is actually my favorite way to work with my chart.
When I revisit transits after I’ve lived through them, something clicks. I can finally understand what those aspects meant for me at each developmental point. I can reframe the experience through the archetypal themes that were at play, and that reframing brings me into a deeper soul orientation with it all.
I start asking different questions.
How did that pain serve me?
What did the confusion draw me into deeper intimacy with?
What layer of myself was revealed, and what new possibilities did that unlock?
If you’re learning astrology, this is one of the most powerful ways to understand what things mean not just cognitively but experientially. Astrology is observation and correlation. It’s lived research.
So let’s look back together at 2025, a year between storylines.
The Backbone of the Year | Pluto in Aquarius
I experienced 2025 in three distinct phases, but the backbone running through all of it was Pluto spending its first full year in Aquarius, the sign of Fixed Air. After entering in November 2024, the shift became impossible to ignore.
Information moved faster. Farther. Wider.
The pace of life up-ticked in a way that often felt unmanageable. Before I could even process one headline, another would swarm in. The collective frequency stepped up dramatically. It felt like a choice was constantly being offered: acclimate, or collapse.
That intensity was consistent all year. And by the end of it, we see trends towards people using social media less, refocusing on in person hangs and dating, and clarity that no matter our algorithm, we aren’t getting the full info.
Within that larger backdrop, the year unfolded in three phases: January through March, April through August, and September through January 2026.
Phase One : January to March | The Weight of Endings
The first phase was dominated by Saturn and Neptune finishing their journey through the last degree of Pisces. It was heavy. Shockingly dismal at times. Fear rose to the surface, both personally and collectively.
This was the feeling of something truly ending, without yet knowing what would replace it. A kind of existential gravity hung in the air.
Phase Two : April to August | A Breath of New Energy
In the last days of March, Neptune entered into Aries for the first time. Saturn followed in late May, and Uranus shifted into Gemini shortly after in early July. Suddenly, the system got a breath of fresh air.
New ideas arrived like lightning. Innovations emerged. Many people felt possibilities opening, opportunities appearing seemingly out of nowhere. There was momentum. Excitement. A sense of forward movement.
In hindsight, this period felt like a preview of what 2026 is preparing us for.
Phase Three : September through January 2026 | Retrogrades Stitch the Past with the Future
Then came the fall.
In September, Saturn retrograded back into Pisces. Neptune followed in October. I personally found this phase harder than the first. It felt like things were going backward. People who thought they were finally getting somewhere watched progress dissolve in their hands. Heartbreak followed hope.
I spent a lot of time reassuring clients that this wasn’t punishment. It wasn’t failure. It was development.
This is how growth actually works. Direct. Retrograde. Direct again. Time stitching the past and the future.
While brutal on the ego, it’s kinder to the nervous system. We need to try, retreat, integrate, and try again. If we can recognize the fall as a final purge, a clearing of what we now know we cannot carry forward, then something powerful happens.
We free ourselves from the past.
We strengthen our container.
We prepare to truly hold what’s coming next.
And the next step begins in February. Get ready.
The Year of Pisces
More than anything, 2025 was the year of Pisces.
It was a year of endings, completions, and culminations. It often felt dreamlike in its randomness. Things appeared and disappeared without clear logic. Confusion, overwhelm, grief, and mystery were common companions.
For some, beautiful and unlikely things came to be and then vanished just as quickly. For others, there was a void. The emptiness that comes when something is clearly over, but the future hasn’t revealed itself yet.
Even when endings were necessary or wanted, they still carried grief.
This fall, especially, felt like wringing out the last drops of what needed to go. Many people felt disoriented, unsure which way was forward or backward. Saturn and Neptune’s return to Pisces demanded an inner compass be re-membered.
This made 2025 a critical year for building stability through daily rituals and spiritual practices. The highest coherence of the Pisces/Virgo Nodal Axis we’ve been traveling this year and half of next. Not to escape reality, but to anchor into it with discernment. Reorientation required consistent inward listening, learning to trust the voice within that already knows and isn’t bounded by linear time.
Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and the Collapse of Old Stories
I attribute much of this to Saturn. He entered Pisces in March of 2023, beginning the final stretch of a cycle that started back in 1996. Saturn builds the structures of our known world, and when a cycle culminates, those structures often collapse.
For many of us, entire conceptions of reality fell apart. We lost the plot of our lives.
With Pluto in Aquarius amplifying this process, we’re being asked to radically upgrade our understanding of what reality even is. Is it purely material? Or is that only part of the story?
One archetype of Saturn in Pisces is the underdog rising. The unlikely becoming visible. Narratives once dismissed suddenly entering public discourse. The Telepathy Tapes was the #1 podcast in THE WORLD. A podcast that focused on the unsung hero’s and sages in non-verbal autistic life experiences. Not a topic you expect to be a global phenomenon! This reflects a deeper collective shift, one that is beginning to be open to seeing beyond the veil. Where science finally has the capabilities to understand the unseen world. Science and spirit are moving beyond their old polarity and are now starting to unify, supporting one another. This is a theme that I see growing throughout Pluto’s journey through Aquarius.
Materialism has been the dominant storyline for a long time. The belief that the world is a collection of inanimate resources meant for extraction and control. But that story has reached the end of its growth. A new dimension is getting added into the framework.
Our appetites have outpaced the planet’s capacity. Humans can’t work more. Plants can’t grow faster. We can’t process waste, excess, or residue quickly enough. A purge is necessary. Along with it, a recalibration of the plot.
This is where Neptune and Uranus come in.
Over the last few years, while Saturn dismantled the visible structures, Neptune dissolved our myths and faith in them. We’ve been humbled. Forced to confront the limits of control. To face disillusionment and acknowledge that the path we followed led somewhere unsustainable. Uranus in its final degrees of Taurus are showing us these limits.
Pisces doesn’t ask us to abandon science or material understanding. It asks us to remember that they are not the whole story.
Life is interconnected. Seen and unseen. And when we learn to listen to both realms, the miraculous starts to reveal itself again. As Uranus moved into Gemini we felt those revelations animate our whole nervous system, rewiring our ability to perceive a new reality that we literally couldn’t conceive before.
My Own Homecoming
For me personally, this year took me deep into my heart.
It offered a healing salve to wounds that surfaced at the beginning of Saturn in Pisces and, ultimately, since before this lifetime. Life has always felt difficult to stomach. As a highly sensitive, neurodivergent person, I wasn’t made for the world I grew up in.
This year, I finally understood why it was so hard, and how that very sensitivity is the medicine needed for what’s emerging now.
It was cathartic. My path and how I operate finally made sense and brought me purpose.
I’ve been navigating the dream space and my own underworld since Pluto crossed my ascendant in 2008. Nearly two decades of identity restructuring. Loss after loss. Dream after dream dissolving. Hard doesn’t even begin to cover it.
But riding it all the way through brought me to a new shore. A self that feels truer than anything before it.
From that place, so much has crystallized. Homecoming Astrology returned as Homecoming Healing. I began offering one-on-one astro coaching, launched my seasonal group coaching container, Frequency Shifters, realized a long held dream of Queer Witch Club, built partnerships for my in-person sessions at The Bridge, stepped deeper into my therapeutic path becoming a Clinical Intern at Evolutionary Psychotherapy, and finally began weaving the esoteric and psychological the way I always dreamed I would.
Three years ago, when Saturn toppled my tower, I never would have believed this life was possible.
Commitment to the mysteries, perseverance, and deep listening opened doors I couldn’t have imagined. I’m in awe of what becomes available when regulation, devotion, and deep listening guide the way.
And I’m deeply honored to walk alongside you through it all.
Looking Ahead
2026 is a launch pad.
A quantum leap is coming. When we look back, we’ll understand exactly what that meant for each of us. For now, all I’ll say is this: it’s beyond your imagination. The only real question is whether you can hold your faith long enough to see it through.
If you’re feeling that edge already, the sense that something is calling you forward but hasn’t fully taken shape yet, you don’t have to meet it alone.
On January 18th, from 1–6pm, I’m hosting True North Calling, a mini retreat at The Bridge. It’s an intentional space to orient yourself toward the year ahead, not through pressure or prediction, but through deep listening. We’ll explore the astrology of 2026 alongside contemplative practices, ritual, community connection, and kundalini yoga, supporting both insight and embodiment.
This is an invitation to strengthen your inner compass, tend your nervous system, and consciously step into what’s emerging, held by practice, presence, and shared intention.
I’d be honored to walk this threshold with you.
